Work

We will help orange farming such as picking up oranges, carrying them to the storage and sorting them, etc.We will separate into 3-4 groups to help different farms. Work could be physically hard.

Accomodation and food

Local guest house. Volunteers will cook by themselves.

Location and leisure

Takamatsu (3 hours by train). You need to arrive at Takamatsu airport by 9:00am on 30th and can leave there after 17:00pm on the 3rd. If Kansai airport (5 hours by train), you need to arrive by 06:00am on the 30th and can leave there after 21:00pm on 3rd.

This workcamp has been organized with Association of Regional Activation in Katsuura. Katsuura is one of famous villages in Japan for Japanese oranges. However, the number of farmers have been getting decreased these years, so that local people need hands of motivated people. They are also encouraging and supporting young people to move to rural area from urban area.
