Description: At The Mount Camphill Co-housing Community students and adults live, learn and work together in a thriving community comprising a long-standing highly respected Specialist Further Education College and an innovative new Co-housing community for adults. The individual's needs, potential and aspirations are recognised, met and developed. Many co-workers live on-site providing all-round care, supervision and support. Local people, day students, work experience, social enterprises and many cultural and leisure activities make a lively mix, with growing outreach and integration in the wider community.

Type of Work: The Mount Camphill Co-housing Community invite you to apply for a painting project incorporating the regeneration of the outside of some of our community buildings within a Camphill setting. Volunteers will have the exciting opportunity to join an intentional community for adults with and without support needs in the heart of East Sussex.

The working hours will be 10.30-12.30pm and 2-5pm, Monday – Friday, with weekend off and an organised trip to a local place of interest if desired.

Accommodation: Accommodation will be in The Mount house sitting room within the Mount House. Please bring a sleeping bag and mat. Toilets and laundry facilities are provided. We will provide all food during the camp, when on campus. Volunteers will share breakfast together and self-cater a main meal. We will provide lunch in one of our 3 community houses.

Approximate Location: The Mount Camphill Co-housing Community is located approximately 5 miles from Tunbridge Wells, near the village of Wadhurst in East Sussex.

Notes: INCOMING/ADDITIONAL FEE - Please kindly note that there is an additional incoming fee of 50 Euros for volunteers applying through Partner organisations or Contacts of the SCI network. For volunteers coming from countries with SCI Branches and Groups there is no additional incoming fee. When accepted on the project IVS will give you more details on how to pay the fee.
