La ville d Aurillac et Etudes et Chantiers travaillent ensemble depuis 23ans ! Depuis 2001, des volontaires du monde entier participent à la rénovation du patrimoine historique, à la construction et à la protection de l environnement de la ville d Aurillac. Aurillac se trouve dans une région française appelée Auvergne, connue pour ses magnifiques volcans endormis ! Ce partenariat a été établi pour permettre aux volontaires locaux et aux volontaires du chantier de se rencontrer et de partager des activités pendant l été. 23 groupes de bénévoles sont déjà intervenus dans la ville : dans les jardins communautaires du centre social d Aurillac pour participer à son développement, mais aussi au bord de la rivière, dans les parcs, les stades municipaux et divers ateliers... Since 2001, volunteers from all around the world have participated to the historical heritage renovation, construction, and environmental protection of the city of Aurillac. Aurillac is located in a French region called Auvergne, known for its beautiful sleeping volcano range landscapes ! This partnership was established for local volunteers and workcamp volunteers to meet and share activities during the summer. More than 20 groups of volunteers have already intervened in the city: in the community gardens of Aurillacs social center to participate to its development, but also along the riverbanks, in the parks, city stadiums and various workshops... Work: "Cette année, les jardins partagés d Aurillac et l espace naturel sensible du Puy Courny ont besoin de toi pour embellir, entretenir et aménager les lieux! Lieu de rencontre et de biodiversité, divers travaux t attendent dans les jardins : création d un compost partagé, entretien des sentiers du jardin, création de décorations et de jardinières suspendues ... Un projet qui mêle biodiversité et créativité ! Ce sera l occasion pour toi d apprendre pleins de choses sur le jardinage et la biodiversité, et de rencontrer les jardiniers et jardinières d Aurillac. A quelques kilomètres de la ville, tu participeras aussi à la préservation de la faune locale en créant des aménagements pour les espèces protégées (batraciens et chauve-souris) qui vivent au sein de l espace naturel sensible du Puy Courny. Le groupe participera à la vie des jardins en aidant à la mise en place de la fête de l été et découvrira ce petit coin de paradis qui est également une belle initiative pour notre planète ! " This year, the work will be focused on embelishing the shared gardens of Aurillac and getting involved in environmental protection in Aurillac s countryside. The shared gardens are designed to be a place of biodiversity and for the local inhabitants to meet. Various tasks are waiting for you in the gardens: - creation of a shared compost, - development of a piece of land to encourage biodiversity, - creation of flower boxes and decorative signs This will be an opportunity for you to learn a lot about gardening and biodiversity, and to meet the gardeners of Aurillac. Right outside of the city, you will also participate in preserving local endangered fauna (amphibians and bats) living on the Puy Courny sensitive natural area. The group will participate in the life of the gardens and discover this little corner of paradise which is also a great initiative for our planet ! The project will be entirely dedicated to biodiversity and creativity !

Accomodation and food: L hébergement se fait sous tente (1 personne par tente, fournie par l association) au stade municipal, sur un emplacement qui nous est dédié. N oubliez pas d apporter votre matériel de camping (tapis de sol, sac de couchage, etc.). Deux barnums seront installés pour la cuisine et pour les activités de groupe (repas/jeux, etc.). Nous disposons d un accès privé aux vestiaires, aux toilettes/douches, et d un endroit pour enfermer vos affaires en toute sécurité. Les jardins sont à moins de 10 minutes à pied, le transport est assuré en minibus pour le reste des activités. Vous serez acteur/actrice de votre séjour, et participerez aux tâches quotidiennes (courses, cuisine, rangement, nettoyage etc...). L organisation du roulement sera fait avec l équipe d animation qui est là pour veiller au bon déroulement. L équipe est composée de 4 personnes : un·e directeur·ice de séjours BAFD, deux animateur·ice·s BAFA, un·e animateur·ice technique, elle supervise et accompagne le groupe. L objectif est de gagner en autonomie et que chacun·e agisse individuellement pour permettre un bon fonctionnement collectif ! Tou·te·s ensemble, vous réfléchirez à comment travailler, se nourrir, s amuser, se déplacer, visiter la région de la façon la plus respectueuse pour l environnement et l autre qu il soit. Accommodation is in tents (1 person per tent, provided by the association) at the municipal stadium, on a special spot dedicated to us. Do not forget to bring your camping gear (ground sheet, sleeping bag, etc.). Two big tents will be set up for cooking and for groups activities (meals/games, etc.). We have private access to the changing rooms, toilets/showers, and a place to safely lock your belongings. The gardens are less than 10 minutes away by foot. You will be actor/actress of your stay, and will participate to daily tasks (shopping, cooking, tidying up, cleaning etc...). Camp leaders will help to organize the rotation and ensure the smooth running. The facilitating team is made of 4 qualified leaders: a director, 2 camp leaders and a technical facilitator. A rotation will be organised by the camp leaders to ensure the smooth running of daily life. The objective is to gain autonomy and that everyone acts individually to allow a good collective functioning! Altogether, you will think about how to work together, feed everyone, have fun, get around, visit the region in the most environmental and human-friendly way.

Les lacs offrent de super coins de baignade pour se rafraîchir. Les animateur·ice·s prépareront des jeux et activités, mais tu seras invité·e à créer et proposer tes propres animations ! The mountain scenery offers breathtaking viewpoints on the volcanoes and mounts of Auvergne. The region s architectural legacy is very rich: castles, bread oven, chapels... Come discover the typical rural villages built with slate and wood. The city of Aurillac offers numerous activities during the summer: www.aurillac.fr. The region is favorable to hiking, walking, cycling, or canoeing. You can also find beautiful lakes to take a swim. Camp leaders will organise games and activities, but you are welcome to create and propose your own activities! Be creative!
