Avada Sociedade Cooperativa Galega is a cooperative focused on educational leisure activities and non-formal education: volunteering, camps, recreational activities coordinator training courses, animation and socio-cultural dynamization with groups of all ages and backgrounds. Since its foundation in 2020, we have coordinated more than 20 volunteer camps with a wide range of different themes: audiovisual, environmental, ethnographic or social among others.

Work: - To learn the basic aspects of the audiovisual world and different techniques for the development of a script, production, shooting and subsequent editing of a minimum of three short films that reflect different aspects of the municipality of Puente de Domingo Flórez. - To become familiar with the use of the suitable tools to carry out a non-fictional audiovisual piece. - To acquire basic knowledge for the creation and implementation of a podcast with the aim of compiling facts that have marked the development of the municipality of Puente de Domingo Flórez through experiences starring the population itself. - To acquire basic knowledge for the implementation and organisation of a short film festival for exhibition. - To collaborate in the cultural offer program of Puente de Domingo Flórez developing different activities in this field through voluntary and well-intentioned action. - To know and To interact directly with the neighbors of the town council, gathering different data for the elaboration of a local collective memory.

Accomodation and food: The group s accommodation will take place at the Puente de Domingo Flórez Public School, located next to the river and the municipal swimming pool, in the town center. The overnight stay will take place in spaces set up for this purpose, on inflatable mattresses provided by the organization. Full board accommodation with 5 meals a day will also take place in the center s own spaces, and the menus will be designed based on seasonal products, preferably locally produced and under the supervision of a nutritionist. There will also be a menu adapted to different diets, intolerances, allergies or cultural preferences (so please communicate any of these needs prior to joining the camp).

Location and Leisure: The “BRIDGES TO CINEMA” is located in the small village of Puente de Domingo Flórez near the city Ponferrada, in the northwest of Spain. The free time activities will be mainly done close-by, enjoying the beautiful surroundings in places like the Castillo de los Templarios (a medieval fortress), Las Médulas (an ancient roman mining operation), The Serra da Enciña da Lastra Natural Park, Casaio Wolfram Mines...

Train/Bus station: PONFERRADA: By train from Ponferrada is the fastest option (29 minutes), stopping at Quereño Station (10 minutes walk from Puente de Domingo Flórez School) with a daily train leaving early (6:00 am). There is a daily direct bus from Ponferrada to Puente de Domingo Flórez (17:00 h.), but there is also the possibility to travel to Quereño, the village on the other side of the river, with the Linecar company. Before the start of the camp, we will get in contact with all the participants to establish contact channels between participants and facilitate the arrival in shared cars from Ponferrada, O Barco de Valdeorras or Ourense.

We are looking for a participant profile for the volunteer field who is enthusiastic and interested in exploring the audiovisual world. Ideally, volunteers are expected to have a curiosity to learn about short film production, scriptwriting, filming and editing, as well as a genuine interest in collecting local stories through a podcast. The willingness to actively collaborate in the organization of cultural events, as well as the ability to work as a team and show solidarity, are key aspects. This generalist profile seeks motivated young people who wish to immerse themselves in the richness of the cultural and natural heritage of the Bierzo region, contributing actively and selflessly through their voluntary participation in the project.
