VIN believes that the equal access to education, the protection and promotion of children s rights, holistic/ overall development of children and childhood development. It is important to us that as an organization, we encourage children to go to school and about their rights and life skills. Together with the Children s Development Officer, volunteers will establish links with local schools to talk about abuse and other children s rights issues.

Work: Your roles-Create content for training on child protection as well as facilitate and deliver workshops to children about their rights and life skills.-Develop literature such as leaflets, news and articles.-Develop and stable the link with local schools and concerned authority to talk about child abuse and other children s issues.

Accomodation and food: The volunteers will stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag.

Location: KATHMANDU

Location and Leisure: Jitpurphedi is a community in Tarakeshwor Municipality, located 10-15 km from Kathmandu s main ring road, surrounded by hills, fields, and woods. You can go sightseeing at various sites around the community. Siddhicharan Municipality, Ward 2, Nisankhe-Nestled in Okhaldhunga district, about 250 km from Kathmandu. -Accessible via local jeep (8i10 hours). -Scenic hills, fertile farmland, and dense forests surround it. For more details about the region, visit www.ntchc.org.VIN also organizes weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot at an additional cost if you are interested.

Requirements: requirementsWe accept volunteers twice monthly, on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. You are required to arrive a day before your project start date. -Basic English should be spoken among the participants - Physically sound as per the project requirements.

A VIN staff member will pick up volunteers from the airport. Please send your flight details in advance so we can provide a name card with the VIN logo.
