VIN s youth clubs are co-curricular projects set up for youth of 16 years of age and above. This is pro- vided for the youth and aims to foster teamwork, life skills, develop creativity, organization/planning, awareness of community issues such as health, the environment, and human rights. Additionally, this project aims to help them apply what they have learnt in the classroom to real life situations. Would you like to inspire and spur on the emerging generation of Nepal? Here s your chance.

Work: Daily Activities-Hold workshops that deal with leadership training, life skills, and other ways to empower youth.-Organize creative activities oriented around formal debate on issues such aspromoting/protecting human rights and solutions for the community.-Facilitate the learning of English and job-hunting skills through stimulating

Accomodation and food: The volunteers will stay with the host family/hostel identified by VIN. The living facilities are simple and basic. Male and female volunteers will share the same living area with separate rooms. The volunteers sleep on simple beds/mattresses. Please bring your sleeping bag.

Location: KATHMANDU

Location and Leisure: Jitpurphedi is a community in Tarakeshwor Municipality, located 10-15 km from Kathmandu s main ring road, surrounded by hills, fields, and woods. You can go sightseeing at various sites around the community. Siddhicharan Municipality, Ward 2, Nisankhe-Nestled in Okhaldhunga district, about 250 km from Kathmandu. -Accessible via local jeep (8i10 hours). -Scenic hills, fertile farmland, and dense forests surround it. For more details about the region, visit www.ntchc.org.VIN also organizes weekend travel tours to Chitwan Jungle Safari, Pokhara, and Nagarkot at an additional cost if you are interested.

Train/Bus station: Tribhuvan International Airport

Requirements: We accept volunteers twice monthly, on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. You are required to arrive a day before your project start date. -Basic English should be spoken among the participants - Physically sound as per the project requirements.

A VIN staff member will pick up volunteers from the airport. Please send your flight details in advance so we can provide a name card with the VIN logo.
