Hanoi Tourism College (HTC), founded in 1972 as Vietnam s first national school specializing in tourism education, offers a unique volunteer experience for those passionate about education, cultural exchange, and supporting Vietnam’s tourism industry. HTC has a long-standing reputation as a leader in hospitality and tourism training, equipping students with professional skills, industry knowledge, and foreign language abilities essential for careers in Vietnam’s rapidly growing tourism sector. International volunteers will have the opportunity to teach English to enthusiastic college students who are preparing for careers in hospitality and tourism, where language skills are crucial. HTC provides an engaging, supportive environment where volunteers can make a meaningful impact by sharing language skills and fostering global perspectives. The aim of the project is to provide English language speaking environment for the students to practice and improve their confidence in using a foreign language in communication.

Work: - Work as a teacher for English classes at the school to help young Vietnamese students develop practical English abilities in an interactive and friendly environment, with a particular focus on their speaking skill. - Share stories about your culture and learn about Vietnamese traditions, creating a global connection. Volunteer’s specific tasks: - Prepare lesson plans and materials focused on conversational English. - Collaborate with local teachers to deliver lessons that encourage active participation and help students practice their language skills. - Organize games and activities that promote speaking and listening in English. - Support local teachers in managing classroom dynamics.

Accomodation and food: Volunteers will stay in a dormitory with rooms shared with other volunteers. Living conditions will be Vietnamese standard with shared bathroom, shared room with bunkbeds. Mattress, blanket, pillow and mosquito net are provided. Food will be provided at accommodation everyday except Saturday. Meals will be mostly local food, which vary from the daily cooking schedule. Volunteers, especially those who are vegetarian may be required to do some cooking by themselves. Sometimes, food is provided by the host project during workdays.

Requirements: - Proficiency in English language skills (spoken) - Love working with students. - Willing to share, proactive and enthusiastic. - Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus. - Minimum stay of 2 weeks. - Extra fee: 430 EUR for the first 2 weeks, 115 EUR for every extra week
