The General Directorate of Youth (www.xuventude.xunta.es) is a department of the Xunta de Galicia (www.xunta.gal) whose priority is to meet the needs and concerns of the young population living in Galicia, firmly believing that youth has much to contribute to society as a whole. We work to improve the quality of life of young people in our autonomous community, developing actions and programs that benefit them, increase their well-being and allow them to improve their skill.

Work: - To highlight (or put in value) the Fervenza das Polancas, located on the Polancas stream which flows into the Ferreiriño River within the area of the Campodola Fold, adding a new point of interest to the PR-G 192 (Campodola Geological Fold Route). - Promoting the Geopark is one of the main goals of the Quiroga volunteering camp. To achieve this, the volunteers will conduct a study of the municipality s routes, reviewing them and performing a digitization process to enhance their promotion. - Creation of a promotional video featuring the waterfalls of the Municipality of Quiroga. - Social media content creation through various posts to showcase the daily tasks carried out by the volunteers in the Municipality. - Design of an infographic highlighting the results achieved during the volunteering camp. - Provide training on the 2030 Agenda

Accomodation and food: Lodging and meals will be provided at the Quiroga Municipal Hostel, Rúa Real, 118, 27320 Quiroga (Lugo). Boarding includes full board: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Location and Leisure: COMPLEMENTARY ACTIVITIES • Discovery of Quiroga and visit to the Ethnographic and Geological Museum • Visit to the Roman Gold Mining Interpretation Center in Ribas de Sil • Route through the Montefurado gold mines • Geological fold of Campodola (a natural monument) and visit to a Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin winery • Kayaking and paddleboarding on the Sil River • Geoorientation race through Quiroga with a sports GPS • San Clodio pool and river beach

Requirements: The camp will conclude on the last day after breakfast.

Volunteers will be picked up at the San Clodio train station and the Quiroga bus station (starting at 4:00 PM on the first day of the camp). The San Clodio station in Ribas de Sil (www.renfe.es) is located 2 km from the center of Quiroga. You can also reach Quiroga by bus with the following companies: www.alsa.es or www.monbus.es. If the arrival in Galicia is by plane, the buses that connect the airports with their respective train or bus stations are as follows: - Peinador (Vigo): www.vitrasa.es; - Alvedro (A Coruña): www.autoscalpita.com; and - Lavacolla (Santiago de Compostela): www.tussa.org.

The incorporation to the work camp is in the afternoon of the first day and the departure the last day after breakfast It is necessary to bring a sleeping bag, mat and backpack for hiking trails. Comfortable shoes for mountain and sports shoes.
